In fact, new data from Airbnb backs this theory up, confirming that the most popular domestic locations for us to travel to between June and August this year will be the Gold Coast, Cairns, Noosa Heads, and Sunshine Coast. But, interestingly,  as per Airbnb's new research, it's not all vitamin D and H20, as more traditional 'winter' locales like Melbourne and Hobart have also made the cut.

When it comes to the types of accommodation we’re looking to book, countryside, beachfront, national parks, and properties that make your jaw drop with that 'wow factor' are some of the most popular category trends, showing that winter is a time that we’re all looking to mix up the scenery and escape.
