Highly-lauded Coal River Farm is an eight minute drive from Richmond, in the equally charming Cambridge, but it's more than worth its weight in small batch and handmade cheese, chocolate and confectionary gold. Go for the High Cheese, available every day; it includes a selection of their award-winning artisan cheeses and chocolates along with your choice of drink, fruit paste, fruit and nuts and crispbreads.
That's not all - they also have a seriously great breakfast and lunch menu for you to indulge in. From 9.00am to 11.30am, tuck into a Farmers Breakfast (house made focaccia, sausage and bacon, potato-sage rosti and scrambled eggs), chia pudding or their Coal River Farm triple cream brie on toast (yes, please). Then from 11.30am to 4.00pm, lunch is a series of small plates the likes of potato croquettes, beef carpaccio, baked camembert and a beetroot and walnut salad.
