The Polaire Suite

Housed within a character rich original building dating back to 1929, it's been transformed and beautifully styled with statement design pieces, original local artwork and luxurious natural finishes in sub-Antarctic hues. 

Luxurious in scale, the fully self-contained interior's most elegant features include a generous king bedroom with separate open plan living and dining area, lofty ceilings and a North facing aspect towards kunanyi/Mount Wellington. Saffire Freycinet 

You could stay under a tarp at Coles Bay and still have a delightful trip, but Saffire Freycinet really turned it up a notch when it opened 20 luxury suites in one of the most breathtaking spots in Australia.

If you want to explore, there are walks, snorkelling and oyster shucking to experience, while the sprawling property has plenty to keep you busy. Views from the restaurant and lobby are magical, and the option to retreat to the day spa is an invite that’s hard to pass up.  

Their minimum two-night stay is barely long enough to make the most of this place, but we’ll take it.

Promenade down to your private deck where a timber hot tub, sauna and firepit await you. Beyond that, there’s exclusive access to the waterfront marine reserve. It doesn’t get much better than enjoying a local pinot, with uninterrupted ocean views, watching the sunrise from the hot tub. But don’t take our word for it.

Bowmont Hotel

Mellow country house luxury combined with elegant charm, Bowmont Hotel is a riverside apartment for Airbnb stays, gatherings, and photoshoots.
