The serene parks and bushlands seem worlds away from the bustle of Sydney – Sangrado Bay and Pickering Point remain a local secret whilst Clontarf Reserve is the backdrop to many waterside weddings. The shaded grassy area, sandy playground and shallow waters make Clontarf a popular picnic and fishing spot for families.
Foreshore walks draw Sydneysiders from all over, be it the renowned Spit Bridge to Manly walk or the much shorter Fisher Bay walk. In the warmer months kayakers can be seen exploring the secluded coves and bays.
This community-centric neighbourhood, which consists largely of families with children, has lots of private schools. The cluster of shops along Sydney Road have a few local dining and coffee options but nearby Warringah Mall is the shopping hub.
