Book a spot at one of the best dog-friendly bars in Sydney, because who said your pooch has to miss out on the good times?
Days out are always better with your pup by your side and luckily for us, Sydney is one of the most dog-friendly places.
Along with parks, beaches and cafes, more and more bars are opening their doors to canine customers, and we love to see it.
From beer gardens to cocktail and wine bars, these are the best dog-friendly bars in Sydney that will make your four-legged friend feel welcome – and some will even whip up special snacks or host events just for them. Now that’s what we call a happy hour!
Forrester's
While Forrester's in Surry Hills is one of the best dog-friendly bars in Sydney any day of the week, it's during the Tuesday 'Yappy Hour' that cute canines show up in droves.
And why wouldn't they - they might get their very own Pawkie! With every meal ordered between 6-8pm on Tuesday, each furry friend will get their own miniature, dog-friendly Yorkshire pudding, served with gravy and a biscuit.
And if they're an extra good boy, they might even end up on the Forrester's Wall of Fame.
336 Riley Street, Surry Hills
Dead Ringer
Just off Taylor Square, Dead Ringer sits inside a charming converted townhouse and serves a fab boozy brunch on weekends, but don’t expect to see smashed avo on the menu. Instead, you’ll find delicious, lunch-leaning dishes, all of which can be teemed with bottomless mimosas.
For the furry friends, the terrace is a gorgeous spot to laze on a sunny afternoon, and is proudly dog-friendly.
413 Bourke Street, Surry Hills
Cony's
A welcome addition to the Cronulla nightlife scene, Cony's is where doggos can congregate for an evening of socialising with a side of tacos (if they're lucky).
For the humans, this is where the rich flavours of South America meet Australian cuisine, with small bites of tapas, signature ceviche and loaded platters keeping everyone well fed, while the cocktails are too good to miss.
4/15 Surf Road, Cronulla
La Bottega

In case the name wasn't a dead giveaway, The Dog Hotel is the local in Randwick where everyone - including 4-legged friends - is more than welcome for a Sunday sesh.

The Vic on the Park
For a sweet Sunday session, head to The Vic, where dogs aren’t just allowed, they’re adored. So much so that they have their own Instagram hashtag: #dogsofthevic.
The pub has a deck out back and a carpark turned beer garden and stage, which often hosts dog shows. There are water bowls and Schmackos on hand, and a park right across the road if your pup gets a little restless.

The Greens North Sydney
Northside? Feel free to bring the whole family to this neighbourhood favourite. Dogs are more than welcome in the Courtyard and Aviary areas on-lead, so settle in for a BBQ lunch, cheese board or jug of Pimms - or all three – before hitting the green for barefoot bowls.
If your pooch is itching to roam off the leash, St Leonard’s Park is next door, with plenty of room for them to let loose.

Yulli's Brews
Yulli's Brews is the ultimate dog-friendly bar. Dogs are free to plonk themselves down in any area of the brewery, at any time of day. If you haven't yet had the pleasure of a taste, Yulli's brews some of the best beers in Australia alongside tasty vego bites.
They host a jazz night on Thursday evenings, but vibes (and doggo attendance) is highest on a Sunday, making it a great place to meet fellow dog lovers this weekend!

Public House Petersham
Over in the Inner West, Public House has a solid four-legged following. While they’re welcome throughout the venue, the most popular spot is the beer garden, a covered outdoor area that hosts an annual ‘Doggy Day.’
On any given day, there are dog treats on offer, as well as wood-fired pizzas, roasts and rustic fare for the humans in your party.

The Bob Hawke Beer & Leisure Centre
Sydney’s unofficial larrikin headquarters (and the official headquarters for Hawke’s Brewing Co.), The Bob Hawke Beer & Leisure Centre is one of our favourite places to drink and eat in Marrickville. And best of all, dogs are welcome (however, they're not permitted in The Lucky Prawn bistro area).
The sunny beer garden is the perfect place to indulge in some in-house Chinese-Australian and a top-notch brew with your best furry mate.

The Winery
The Winery’s chic laneway garden is the perfect place to sip on rose in the sun or host a bottomless brunch with the girls, tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Crown Street.
The best part? The leafy courtyard has city views and a serious case of puppy love. Dogs are permitted, so you can work your way through the illustrious wine list with your fluffy friend by your side.

OTiS
Warm vibes, craft brews and a community feel are exactly what you want from a neighbourhood bar, and OTiS is delivering that in spades to the good people of Leichardt. Oh, and you're welcome to bring your pooch! They've even got treats behind the bar.
And for you? You can expect plenty of natural wine, craft beer, share plates and arguably Sydney's best cheese toastie, complete with seven different cheeses.
