Then there are the rock pools and marine life; swim and snorkel among sea life or sit back at Iris Moore Reserve and watch the humpback whales on their annual migration. And just as there are plenty of picnic facilities at Iris Moore Reserve, there's plenty of space to roam for the whole family at Robinson Reserve; a sprawling playground, a skate park and Birubi off-leash dog beach.
Anna Bay Village is centred around a well-connected community. The village may be small with a handful of shopfronts, but locals are never left wanting. Farmgate produce is plentiful, and with Nelson Bay a few minutes down the road, locals have their pick of three major supermarkets, cafes and waterfront dining.
Naturally beautiful, Anna Bay may be home to some of Port Stephen's star attractions – Birubi Beach and the sand dunes – but this seaside gem is a tranquil coastal town that loves to live life on its own terms.
