This unique dining destination is entirely plant-based and crafted from high-quality, local ingredients. Bird's Nest

Bird’s Nest was born from founders Marie & Emi’s desire to share their love of Japanese cuisine with foodies across Brisbane. With a hospitality background, they set their minds to upskilling and travelled to Japan to receive traditional training from expert yakitori chefs. Honouring the importance of fresh and local ingredients in these dishes, the ingredients at Bird’s Nest are all delivered fresh and prepared on-site each day. They also employ an ethos of ‘Japanese for everyone’, meaning there’s flexibility with dietary requirements along with a wide variety of dishes on the menu.

Nodo Donuts

Everyone’s favourite donut shop has just opened in Everton Park! Founder Kate Williams has brought her beloved baked donuts and entirely gluten-free venue to its ninth location in just nine years, an incredible feat, and a testament to the popularity of this cafe. Nodo injects some much-needed fun back into eating ‘healthy’ and most certainly into eating gluten-free! The next time you’re hunting down a delicious breakfast, lunch or brunch in Everton Park, be sure to pop by the Plaza and visit the newest Nodo cafe.

Mai Gai

Transport your tastebuds to Bangkok and beyond at Mai Gai, with their eclectic mix of Southeast Asian plates and cocktails that will inspire your palate. This ambient and moody hidden gem is tucked within the Park Lane dining precinct and is a must-try for local Brisbane foodies.

Tetto Rooftop

This gorgeous rooftop bar in Everton Park takes inspiration from the resort towns of the Italian Riviera, so it makes the perfect escape from the daily grind. Pouring gorgeous and summery-bright cocktails to sip along with more-ish comfort food, we can definitely see ourselves becoming regulars at Tetto Rooftop in no time.

Kab Kao Thai

Wholesome vibes alert - Kab Kao Thai is an authentic Thai restaurant born from a family’s dream to start their very own restaurant! With a chic pink and white aesthetic that is just #sositchu, we also love the Latin street food-inspired share plates and the gorgeous cocktails on the menu at this Everton Park restaurant and bar. There’s always an event or special package to opt for, so make sure you check out the calendar before booking. Because let’s face it, we need barely any encouragement to book in for a few watermelon margs.

Doug has spent over two decades in top kitchens in Melbourne and Brisbane and is passionate about using fresh local produce to develop new ideas.
