Summer Cocktails: Martini with Watermelon & Olive Garnish
In just 30mins, you can stir up a delightful twist on a classic cocktail. AEG ambassador Mark Best's martini with watermelon and olive garnish is a sure-fire way to brighten up any get-together or BBQ.
Ingredients
- 30ml dry vermouth
- 120ml gin
- 1 cocktail glass
- 1 cocktail skewer
- 1 small jar of gordal olives
- 1 long bamboo skewers
Method
Cocktail:
- Fill a metal shaker with smashed ice.
- Pour in the dry vermouth (I recommend using Noilly Prat) and stir.
- Add your preferred gin.
- Stir briskly for 10 seconds, strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
Garnish:
- Place the watermelon onto a chopping board and cut into 5cm thick slices.
- Slide the watermelon cubes and olives onto the bamboo stick.
- Place the skewer into the ice-cold martini.
