On the weekend, visitors join locals at the Jetty Road Kiosk, enjoying a coffee while soaking up the view. When the sun starts to drop, The Grange Hotel is the place to be. An Adelaide icon for over 130 years, the hotel is known for its seafood and is the ideal spot to watch the sunset.
Venturing further along the beach towards Tennyson, swathes of white sand offer a quieter local-only feel. Dog owners make the most of the wide-openspace, while families are out in full force, especially when the heat index is up. Stepping off the sand, Jetty Street offers a cool reprieve, lined with towering pines and a few shops. On the backstreets, Grange opens up into quiet cul-de-sacs, minimal traffic and a holiday-mode ambience.
With only a handful of eateries and basic services, the area gracefully sidesteps the hubbub and offers a chilled, community vibe. If you need groceries or some serious retail therapy, Grange is a short drive from West Lakes Shopping Mall and within walking distance of bustling Henley Square. When a trip to the city is on the cards, the area is serviced by a direct train-line that runs to and from the CBD, providing an easy and hassle-free commute.
